Happy Sunday, everyone! So yesterday my Mom and I went on our annual mother/daughter bus trip to Atlantic City, New Jersey. I love getting together with my Mom and just getting away for a day - it was long overdue! The bus trip that we take is sponsored by one of my Mom's close friends, and she does a great job at keeping everyone happy. We have mimosas and bloody mary's on the way down with danishes/muffins, and we always take a "good luck shot" before we get off the bus!
We always participate in the 50/50 drawing on the way down, and this year WE WON! There were two winners who won $60 each - so we used that towards our dinner and it was basically free!
The Casino that we went to this year was the Resorts Casino Hotel. This place has so much to offer its guests from Nightlife events, Entertainment, and Dining. As soon as Mom and I spotted the Margaritaville sign in the middle of the casino, we knew exactly where we were having dinner! We got our margaritas in these adorable blender shaped souvenir cups and they made the experience that much more fun.
On the way back home, we watched The Heat with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. If you need a good laugh, definitely check this movie out! I have been a huge Melissa McCarthy fan since her Gilmore Girls days, so seeing her transform into this superstar makes me so excited!
Although we didn't win big, the time spent with my Mom is worth more than anything I could have taken home. I am already looking forward to next years bus trip! Here are some pictures from the trip:
In the pictures above, I am wearing COVERGIRL LashBlast Mascara in Very Black (my absolute favorite), MAC Rebel Lipstick, and my manicure is OPI Alpine Snow (I cannot get enough of this color - it is so fresh, crisp, perfect if you love natural nails!)
I chose to wear High Waist Ankle-Leggings and a loose springy top. I was going to wear my brown boots with this outfit, but chose to go with my Patent Wedge Pumps (available in four colors and SO comfy) I love to be comfortable when I travel, especially if I have to be sitting in a car for long periods of time!
Today also happens to be The First Day of Spring, Palm Sunday, and International Day of Happiness! If only we had Spring-like weather for such an important day - but it's not raining or snowing so i'll take it! I am SO ready for crop tops and sandals!
In spirit of International Day of Happiness - I thought it was appropriate to pick up some things that make me very happy. I picked these beauties up from Whole Foods this morning after church. Fresh flowers always put a smile on my face!
What inspires your happiness?
