Bold in Blue

Similar Blue top here, here, and here // High Waist Legging // Steve Madden // Reversible Faux Leather Tote // Lipstick - MAC Rebel // Karen Walker Sunnies

This flowy blue shirt is an oldie but goodie in my closet. I picked this up a few years back from (none other - New York and Company)! This is a beautiful transition piece. I can wear this with a high waisted skirt or pants for work, or I can wear them with skinny jeans for a night out. I also love to wear this blouse with shorts and wedges on a cool summer night - perfect for the beach!

This Reversible faux leather tote from Nordstrom has become my go-to bag lately. It fits everything (even my laptop!) and is so convenient for everyday. I can even throw my clutch in it so I am ready to go to happy hour after work! It's also the perfect shade of brown and goes with everything. The inside color is a beautiful coral color, which i'll transition to in the summer for a bright beach bag!

I hope everyone is having  a great week - I am SO excited we are over halfway to the weekend!

Ribbed Knit T Shirt Dress

Ribbed Knit T-Shirt Dress (comes in three colors, and is only $10!) // Classic White Keds // Karen Walker Sunnies // Monogrammed Clutch // Similar Oriole's Hat here // Lipstick - MAC Rebel

It's that time of year again for baseball! I always struggle with something cute to wear to the field - sometimes I just don't feel like wearing shorts and a t-shirt, so I like to spice it up. I found this great deal again at Forever 21 on this adorable dress. It is the perfect shade of orange (for the Baltimore Orioles) and is soooo comfy!

I decided to pair this dress with a classic white pair of Keds. I don't own many flat pairs of shoes, but Keds are my go-to pair of sneakers. They are so feminine and preppy, and go well with a dress or skirt!

I love getting creative with how I wear my favorite teams colors, whether with my nails, a scarf, my accessories - like a hat! You never know where the sun will be during the game so I always like to pack a baseball cap to protect my face from the sun.

How do you all style your game day look? Tag me on instagram during the next game you go to, i'd love to see!

Patterns + Pom-Poms

Hiiii everybody! I am so excited to finally share this midi-skirt with you guys that I picked up a while back. Both my scarf and skirt are from Francesca's, and I am loving them both! The detail in this skirt makes it perfect to transition into Summer with - I can wear it with long or short sleeves, and with a white or blue top!

This pom-pom scarf is SO fun and I absolutely love the detail on the ends. This is perfect for dressing up that jeans and t-shirt outfit on casual Fridays at the office! I chose to keep my jewelry simple with this outfit since the scarf and skirt both made such a statement.

I hope everyone's week is off to a great start! Thanks for reading!

Floral Lace + Wedding Etiquette

Floral Lace Flare Dress (comes in pink, too!) // White Pashmina // Similar clutch here // Steve Madden // Manicure - DND Pinky Kinky // Lipstick - MAC Rebel // Similar Necklace Here

It's almost that time of year again - Wedding Season! There is nothing I love more than love. Especially when I have the opportunity to get all dolled up to dance, drink, and celebrate love!

This floral lace flare dress from New York and Company is one of my favorites. The detail in this dress is beautiful, and I love the v-neckline (perfect for necklaces)! The hem is the perfect length for a wedding, and the flare in the skirt is perfect for dancing! I would wear this dress to an outdoor wedding or maybe even a beach wedding with sandals. I prefer pashmina's over shrugs/cardigans for fancy events. Pashmina's are more classier to me and easier to carry in your clutch or purse.

There are so many different options for wedding settings/venues, whether it's in a church, a field, a hotel, or on a beach - I've got you covered!

Formal Wedding

Daytime - Cocktail or dressy afternoon dress
Evening - Depending on local customs, long evening dress or dressy cocktail dress, gloves optional

Semiformal Wedding

Daytime - Dressy afternoon dress, suit, or pantsuit
Evening - Cocktail dress, dressy pantsuit

Informal Wedding

Daytime - Afternoon dress, dressy skirt or pants or blouse
Evening - Afternoon or cocktail dress

Beach Formal Wedding

A formal summer sundress or tea-or knee-length with flat sandals

Black Tie Wedding

A long dress, a dressy suit, or a formal cocktail-length dress in a dark, neutral tone like brown, gray, or black

In addition to some ideas on what to wear to a wedding, here are some helpful tips for ya'll if you are just a guest at a wedding this season!

1. RSVP by the deadline

Most hosts give their guests plenty of time to RSVP, and should even provide you with a postage paid envelope!

2. Do NOT wear white

It goes without saying - let the Bride stand out.

3, Be punctual

Yes, most weddings start a little after the actual start time on the invitation (to allow everyone to settle) but you don't want to be that person that makes it awkward and stumbles in late!

4. Drink Responsibly

Know your limits - don't make a fool of yourself! Open bar too good to be true? Have your date or a friend help keep you in check.

5. Keep chitchat with the couple light

The newlyweds have a lot of people to talk to on their big day! Don't be upset if you don't get to spend a lot of time with them.

Thank you so much for reading, Happy Friday!
